A relative latecomer to the world of gastronomy, Charlotte trained at the Royal Logistics Corp of the British Army, spending a decade working as a pastry chef under Michael Caines at Gidleigh Park (2*) and The Royal Clarence Hotel. Now head chef at the Five Bells Inn, in Clyst Hydon, Devon's head chef, she made her television debut on BBC 2's Great British Menu earlier this year. Describing her food as “Modern British with a twist of Scandi influence and French technique”, Charlotte has won rosettes, retained the pubs Top 50 Gastropub position for three years.
