Simon M Johnson is head of Corporate Advisory in the OPRE business of CBRE in London responsible for dealing with the major corporates and family businesses across Pubs, Leisure and Hotels. His brief includes mergers and acquisitions, disposals, liaising with the CBRE Real Estate Financing teams on debt and bringing in the UK Valuation team for annual accounts valuations, IPOs and ongoing structuring and individual acquisitions.
Prior to joining CBRE he was in the investment banking Leisure team at UBS and an equity analyst specialising in Hospitality at Credit Suisse, BZW and Kleinwort Benson. He also served as the Lloyds Bank independent director on the board of Admiral Taverns until its disposal.
In recent years he has advised and transacted on all of the CMA required pub disposals, was the main advisor on the setting up of Hawthorn Leisure and most recently was a key part of the team that advised Blackstone on the acquisition of Bourne Leisure.
